Russell Edmond – Member at Large
I am a committed servant-leader dedicated to faith, integrity, seeking justice and sharing my gifts. I have been a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Concord, North Carolina, for 46 years, where my faith has guided my passion for service and stewardship. I previously served as President and Vice President of the Congregation of Grace Lutheran Church, providing leadership in support of its mission and ministry. I also served for nine years on the Board of Directors of the LCMS Southeastern District and as Vice President of the Coalition of Lutherans in Black Ministry.
Professionally, I am a Nuclear Instructor (Operations) at Catawba Nuclear Station, where I have earned both a Senior Reactor Operator license and a Reactor Operator license, and I am currently a Certified Senior Reactor Instructor through the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO).
In addition to my professional and church leadership roles, I am a volunteer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System in North Carolina, supporting educational and community-focused initiatives. Outside of my professional and volunteer commitments, I enjoy teaching Bible study, spending time with my grandchildren, playing golf, singing in my church choir, and eating just about anything that includes sugar. Across all areas of life, I remain deeply committed to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and advancing purpose-driven service.
